Chunky Neck construction

Worked from the top down, allowing you to adjust the length to fit.

The neckband and yoke are worked in the round. The front and back are worked separately, back and forth in rows.

Suggested yarn & gauge

One strand of Drops Merino Extra Fine (50 g = 114 yds)
held together with one strand of Drops Alpaca (50 g = 182 yds)

Yarn quantity

250 (250) g Drops Merino Extra Fine
held together with 150 (150) g Drops Alpaca

Suggested hook: Use the hook size needed to obtain gauge. I crochet tightly and obtain gauge with:
6.00 mm / US J-10 for ribbing and 6.50 mm / US K-10.5 for the yoke

Alternating 1 Dc row and 1 Sc row: 6.50 mm / US K-10.5 hook (3.9 x 3.9 inches): 14 sts x 11 rows

Bpdc: 6.00 mm / US J-10 hook (3.9 x 3.9 inches): 13 sts x 13 rows
